By request Hamilton District #24 will be conferring the 3rd Degree on Wednesday November 5,2025 at Unity Oddfellows Hall, 64 Wellington Street North, Hamilton ON L8R 1N1. The Degree will start at 7:00 pm. There will be a light lunch afterwards. Cost $10.00 per person. All Oddfellows are welcome. GENERAL PROCLAMATION.

Dear Brothers and Sisters;

This Proclamation is to inform each Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodge in the Grand Jurisdiction of Ontario of the untimely passing of Brother Jimmy C. Humphrey, Past Sovereign Grand Master.
Brother Humphrey passed away on the 25th day of September, 2025. Brother Humphrey was from The Grand Jurisdiction of Georgia and served faithfully as our Sovereign Grand Master in the 2014 – 2015 Lodge year.
Our Grand Master, Brother Jason Walt, has instructed me to issue this general proclamation, requesting each Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodge, in the Grand Jurisdiction of Ontario, to drape their Charter for a period of 30 days in loving memory of Brother Jimmy Humphrey, Past Sovereign Grand Master.

The Sovereign Grand Lodge has issued a letter, mandating compliance. The letter is attached to this email.

Please share this notice with all Lodges in your District so Everyone is informed.

The letter further indicates the following:

1 This letter shall be read in its entirety on the floor, at the next regular meeting of every Local Unit in the Order, upon receipt thereof;

2 That the contents of this letter shall be recorded in the minutes of each Local Unit at the meeting of its having been read;

3 That each Local Unit in the Order shall within 90 days of receipt of the this letter, (August 31, 2025) notify each individual member of their Lodge to inform them of the contents of this letter; and

4 That each Local Unit shall certify completing the aforementioned tasks, in writing, to the Grand Secretary/Rebekah Assembly Secretary, of Ontario, within 60 days of completion, who shall then notify The Sovereign Grand Lodge of compliance. (October 31, 2025).

I have been instructed to send this Letter to everyone in the Jurisdiction of Ontario and will need your compliance.

Please, by August 31, 2025, email me, or send a letter indicating:

The letter has been read in its entirety on the floor of your Lodge.

The entire contents of this letter have been recorded in the minutes of your Lodge for the meeting on the date on which the letter was read to the membership.
